Frequently asked questions

How are my scores calculated?

Your front and side photos are analysed by an AI model that estimates six areas (skin, jawline or glow, eyes, puffiness, hair, symmetry or harmony) and an overall Glow Score. Scores are estimates: light, angle and expression change them, so scan in the same spot and light each week. Your answers to the setup questions shape your plan, not your scores.

What happens to my photos?

Photos are sent through our server to Google’s Gemini API for analysis. Our server does not store them, and Google does not use them to train its models. Only the result is kept on our side, encrypted, for at most 24 hours. Your photos, scores and plan stay on your iPhone. Read the full Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

In the app go to Settings → Delete all scans and photos. A single scan can be deleted from Progress. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open the Settings app on your iPhone → your name → Subscriptions → Upface, or in Upface go to Settings → Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.

I bought Upface Pro but it is not active

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy. If it still does not work, email us with your Apple receipt or transaction ID.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID and choose the Upface purchase.

Can I turn off reminders or offers?

Yes. In the app go to Settings → Notifications to change the reminder time or switch daily tasks, rescan reminders and offers on or off. You can also turn off all notifications in the iPhone Settings app.

Is Upface medical advice?

No. Upface gives general grooming and wellness guidance and does not diagnose or treat any condition. For persistent skin problems please see a dermatologist. If you are struggling with how you feel about your appearance, please talk to someone you trust or a qualified professional.
